Code of Conduct
In the wake of recent legislative changes, we have incorporated vital updates to all our Code of Conduct modules tailored for each Australian State.
Code of Conduct (QLD) was released last month and has already been adopted in a very short amount of time by a number of our Council Partners in the state of Queensland.
We are also on the verge of releasing our brand-new Code of Conduct Module for NSW Local Government.
The response to the NSW Code of Conduct module, despite the fact that it has not yet been released, has been substantial and positive and a number of our NSW Council Partners have already committed to adopting it even before it has been released.
If you have an organisational requirement for the updated Code of Conduct Modules for either NSW or QLD, please feel free to email me at zrahman@gvmedia.com.au to arrange a free trial for the purposes of reviewing the content.
LG 2020 – Conflict Of Interest
Following a number of requests from the sector The LG 2020 – Conflict of Interest course has been created in response to the local government act 2020 that passed parliament earlier this year.
As many of you are already aware, Global Vision has engaged a very extensive process throughout the year and have worked with local government representatives and the Department to develop training for council officers in order to prepare them for the changes that are now in place.
The changed provisions related to Conflicts of Interest are significant and impact all council officers.
We are pleased to announce the rollout of our Brand new “LG2020 Act – Conflict of Interest” course. The course is now available for Councils to review, customise and adopt.
I will be in touch with those of you who have expressed interest in adopting this e-Learning module in the coming weeks.
For councils who are interested in accessing a free demo for this new module, please feel free to contact me directly at zrahman@gvmedia.com.au and I will be happy to reach out with more details.
